Objective:
To design and safely make a pop-up card for a special occasion through using my research.
INTRODUCTION
Brief:
Design and make a pop-up card that has at least one pop-up mechanism. The card must be aimed at a general international market and can be unisex in style and form. The card must be made to celebrate a special occasion where you can not buy (or find it difficult to get one) a commercial card to celebrate the occasion. The card must be thorougly researched and planned before it is manufactured.
Situation:
Pop-up cards are hard to find in shops. Any of these types of cards are usually simple in design because they can be expensive to manufacture. For this reason I am planning to design and make a pop-up card for ............................... because..................................... The person I am making the card for is .......................years old and their favourite things to do and hobbies are................................. I can describe the person as ...................................

Task: (Analysis)
On the blank page (Top half)
1) What is the purpose or function of a card. Write three functions down.
2) Make 5 different mechanisms and explain each one. Use craft knifes and scissors safely to do this. Stick on the lined page.
3) On the bottom half brainstorm occasions that you could possibly make the card for.

Final DESIGN
Draw the front, back and mechanism/s for the final card that you intend to make. Label all designs and colour in to achieve at least a step 1. Evalaute each part on the lined page by giving three good points and two points for improvement on each design. Include one piece of feedback from a friend. (They can write it in your book
